About this Course

Join us for a hands-on workshop where you will create, build, and leave with your very own glowing lantern! Jessica Hickman will be sharing her tips and tricks for making high-quality, unique lanterns that you could use at events such as the upcoming Esquimalt Lantern Festival! With over 20 years experience creating glowing creatures, Jessica will outline which materials are best to use, how to assemble, and different ways to decorate your lantern. If you are interested in making your own glowing creatures, this basic workshop will give you all the information you need to keep creating in the future. She will review materials, glues, lighting methods, and techniques for creating stunning lantern objects and puppets. All supplies will be provided. No experience necessary. Wear clothing that you don’t mind getting glue on. Once completed you will have a fun new lantern to bring to the TCAC Lantern Festival on Friday, Sept 13th. Suitable for ages 12 & up. Under 12 welcome, but must be accompanied by an adult.
