About this Course

Through games and skill-related activities, the kids bike skills program teaches essential bike handling and safety skills to develop safe cycling behaviour, knowledge, and attitudes in kids. This fun-filled 3-hour course teaches helmet fit, basic traffic rules, how to check your bike and equipment, proper braking, hand signals/shoulder checks, bike handling with obstacles, and more! The goal of this course is to help your kids develop and practice safe cycling habits and foundational skills at a young age for a life of safe and confident biking. *Participating kids should be able to ride a bike without training wheels* Participants should come with: 1) A bike in good working order 2) An approved helmet that fits 3) Plenty of snacks and water 4) Closed toed shoes (no sandals)
